Background
Dr. Jim Logeman, widely known as “Orthodude,” hails from Cincinnati, OH, beginning his academic journey at Miami University in Oxford, OH, where he earned a BA degree in 1982. He then pursued a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University in 1986. After several years working in general dentistry, he returned to The Ohio State University, obtaining his Masters (MS) degree and specializing in orthodontics in Cincinnati. Notably, during his residency, Dr. Logeman received the top research award in his class. In 1993, he joined his father, Dr. Paul Logeman, who was in practice for 33 years. Dr. James took over the practice as second generation orthodontist for over the past 25 years.
Philanthropic Work
A devoted humanitarian, Dr. Logeman has been a part of numerous mission trips, lending his expertise to repair houses and provide dental care to individuals in need, both locally and internationally. He collaborates with local agencies like Dental OPTIONS and Donated Dental Services, offering pro bono orthodontic treatment to underprivileged children in Cincinnati. Dr. Logeman also volunteers his services at the Free Dental Clinic affiliated with Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, supporting those in need of dental care.
Professional Affiliations and Recognitions
He actively participates in various professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association (as an alternate delegate), and the Cincinnati Dental Society (serving on council), as well as the Chicago Dental Society, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists. His commitment to excellence was recognized when his peers voted him as one of Cincinnati’s Top Dentists in 2016. Dr. Logeman is also recognized as a Premier Provider for Invisalign.
Personal Life
Apart from his professional career, Dr. Logeman takes pride in being a father to three wonderful children: Jacob, Tommy, and Jessica. When not with his family or tending to his orthodontic practice, he enjoys outdoor activities such as golfing, boating, fishing, skiing, and various other hobbies.
